Overview

CurrencySpot does not collect, store, or share any personal information. Conversions, scans, and rate tracking all happen on your device. The app goes online for one reason only, to fetch the latest exchange rates. It uses no cookies, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind.

What We Don't Collect

CurrencySpot does not collect any of the following:

  • Name, email address, or phone number
  • Location data
  • Device identifiers
  • Usage data or analytics
  • Crash reports or diagnostics
  • Photos or any prices you scan
  • Payment or financial information

How the App Works

Currency conversions, price scans, and rate tracking run entirely on your device. When you scan a price with your camera, the image is processed locally and is never uploaded or saved. Your settings and preferences stay on your device and are deleted when you remove the app.

Exchange Rate Data

To show current rates, CurrencySpot fetches data from Frankfurter, a free, open-source exchange rate service. These requests carry no personal information and travel over a secure HTTPS connection. As described in its official documentation, Frankfurter does not collect personal data, though its public service runs behind Cloudflare, which may record basic technical information for performance and analytics.

Your Data and Your Rights

Because CurrencySpot holds no personal data, there is nothing for us to share, sell, secure, or disclose, and nothing for you to request, correct, or delete. Removing the app erases everything it has saved on your device. Since the app collects no information from anyone, it is safe for users of all ages, including children under 13.

Changes and Contact

We may update this policy from time to time. Any change appears on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. If you have questions about your privacy, contact us at dingze.yu@icloud.com.
