Point. Scan. Know instantly.

Aim at a menu, a price tag, or a receipt, and the converted price appears right on it. It all happens on your phone, and the photo is never uploaded.

Rates move. See the trend first.

Follow any currency from one week to five years before you exchange, and spot a good rate when it comes. Charts use the daily reference rates central banks publish.

Common questions.

How is this different from a regular currency converter?

Most converters stop at conversion.

CurrencySpot is built for spending abroad. Scan prices with your camera, follow rate trends, keep a watchlist of the currencies you use, and decide when to exchange.

Is the app free?

Yes, completely.

Every feature is free. There are no in-app purchases, no ads, and no account to create.

Which devices does it run on?

iPhone and iPad on iOS or iPadOS 18.2 or later, Macs with Apple silicon on macOS 15.2 or later, and Apple Vision Pro. CurrencySpot is available on the App Store only.

Where do the exchange rates come from?

CurrencySpot uses the daily reference rates that central banks publish, and picks up each new set as it's released. They're dependable for travel, shopping, and following trends, but they're reference rates rather than live trading rates.

The exact rate from your bank, card issuer, or exchange provider may differ because of fees and markups.

How many currencies does it support?

More than 150, so you can understand prices and exchange rates almost anywhere in the world.

Does the app work offline?

Yes. Your most recent rates are stored on your device, so you can keep converting on a plane, on the subway, or anywhere without a connection.

What happens to the photos I scan?

Nothing leaves your device.

CurrencySpot reads scanned prices locally, so photos and camera frames are never uploaded or saved. What you scan stays private.
